  • I jumped in my seat at 1:06. The second time around, too. Even the third...

  • 3:56 is the way bach ge ts through our ddeepest emotions., and koopman is gong crazzy, he must get a body ache after this performance.

  • I just can't thank you enough, Bacholoji!

  • oh PHEW! I thought they had swapped to the counter tenor halfway through. 2 versions by Bacholoji, doh!

  • @Worsthoofd And closely translated as: "Are lightning and thunder vanished into the clouds?"

  • Very powerful. An auditory delight.

  • have the lightning and thunder vanished INTO the skies

    (where is revenge)

  • Sind Blitze, Sind Donner (Im Wolken Verschwunden), loosely translated as 'Have the lightning and thunder vanished from the skies?'

  • You know, I too really thought Gardiner's Bach was the greatest for a while, but the more I listen to both, Ton Koopman's powerful combination of musical integrity and energy surpasses even the great Monteverdi choir.

    But both conductor's are brilliant.
