@yepdcxrox They emphatically did not build tin cans before government intervention; they built extremely sturdy cars that didn't crumple, had hardened glass windows etc. The cars survived a crash admirably, but the passengers were turned into scrambled eggs.

I don't know why they do OOP tests anymore.. now that the government mandates occupant classification systems, frontal airbags won't deploy if the seatbelt is not buckled in or if the weight sensor picks up too light of an occupant.
