this song i heard when was 13, cleaning the house of a great dj -- it stuck in my head, could not find it anywhere though after that one time hearing it

Song was made in 1966, and sounds very much like one which is not really Rocksteady or Ska, but the bridge between the two sounds. Some people call it proto-rocksteady some book of mine, rude boy sounds. But back to the point, 1966, that is what your looking for.
