A couple of us eboard officers of Temple University Students for Intellectual Freedom (TUSIF)decided to attend (not "stand in solidarity" with) the Occupy Philly Temple University Contingent's class walk-out rally. We, like most persons, learned about this class walk-out rally at noon today (10.21.11) through emails that our own professors had been circulating, supposedly on behalf of actual students, through the school's Blackboard system. With my self-identified Democratic Socialist instructor, it is likely that she did not need a student to ask her to circulate this politically charged piece of info. I wonder: would if she will return the favor for TUSIF? This is our (my) first footage (ever), so please excuse the shakiness here and there. There are four parts to total film coverage from the heart of Temple's main campus, to the very edge, where Occupy Philly TU Contingent continued marching to City Hall to join the rest of Occupy Philly, many of which make up a majority of the those in attendance of at this rally.
In part #3, part of what they were chanting was "We are Responsible!" which was ironic, as those who were students in the crowd had skipped class to join this class walk-out. From here, they go walk on to Broad street to begin their march to City Hall Center City.
