This is so fun! I laughed. Jenny and I were having so much running around in the rain in my front yard. I was twirling around and fell into the wet grass. I listened as a dog barked nearby and ants scrambled around. Suddenly the neighbor boy ran by and stole my backpack.
Hey come back here you jerk! I stood up and yelled. He continued to run and Jenny chased while I stood in the yard alone.
A car pulled up full of men in business suits. The man in the drivers seat proclaimed, You look like the perfect girl to be in the new movie ROCHESTER. Its a good thing too because your family won the contest and youll be the lead role.
I couldnt believe what I was hearing. I didnt remember entering any contest, but this was a dream come true and I couldnt pass by the opportunity. That sounds amazing!
The driver spoke, Hop in the car and well head off to the studio right away.
Well you said this was a family contest, could you talk to my mom first?
The man looked around at the other passengers nervously then smiled, Sure thing pumpkin.
They all hopped out of the car and we started up the front steps to my house. As I held the door open for the men I glanced at the driveway and realized my mom wasnt home. I scanned the street for Jenny, but she was no where in sight. I could see the men whispering inside and suddenly everything clicked. There really was no movie called ROCHESTER, our family never entered a contest, and these men were not here to take me to a movie set. They were going to kidnap me.
At this realization I ran to the backyard and found that my brother was playing basketball. He had a camera set up to film all his great shots. At least someone was home. I started explaining to him that we needed to get far away and call the police. Just then, the men came out of the house and came for us. There was lots of kicking and struggling. I heard one of the men say Theyve got a camera. Then everything went blank.
I woke up in hospital with my mother and doctors surrounding me. I told the story of the men but they didnt believe me. They told me I had just gotten a bump on the head from my brothers basketball.
I could see my brother next to me, Well then how does that explain what happened to him?
The doctor answered, He just slipped on a rock or something, nothing serious
I was released from the hospital that night and felt like surfing the Internet. I typed Youtube in the browser and waited for the page to load. I scanned the page and my eyes widened as I saw one of the featured videos. I could see my face and my brothers too. I slowly clicked it and watched intently. I watched in horror and stopped the video halfway through. It was a video of the men attacking my brother and me.
This was so unreal. I wanted to just scream. The men must have taken the camera that my brother had been using to film and taped the whole struggle. At least now there was proof for my mother and the police. As I sat there an instant message popped up on the screen from a username I didnt recognize. As I read the message I began to shake and cry.
The message read: Your family won another contest, well see you soon.
I woke up startled in bed. My face was covered in sweat and I started to cry. Wait. Suddenly I realized it had all been a nightmare. There were no men or video. I was perfectly safe. I checked around the room just to make sure. I climbed back into bed; glad to know it wasnt real. I shut my eyes and drifted back to sleep.
