ah rell nice chutney style from Rakesh Yankaran!
Just mentioned the words Dadeeya Moray Laylay or Mousie and immediately you think of a tall imposing figure with looks strikingly close to that of the late great Isaac Yankaran. Listen to him sing and you would think it is The late Isaac Yankaran, but its not. This personality belongs to the most successful chutney artistes in Trinidad Rakesh Yankaran , a son of the late Isaac Yankaran.

Rakesh was born on the 3rd of December in Brickfield , Carapichaima. At the age of five he lost his father which was a tragic loss not only to his family but also to Trinidad and Tobago.

Many wonder how Rakesh inherited his talent from his late father without his presence but who knows this could be a divine intervention from the almighty.

Rakesh is self taught, reads Hindi and is very versatile and skillful. He renders classical and religious songs with the same expertise as he does his chutney. Whenever the History of Trinidad is written Rakesh's name will go down in History for the joy and absolute pleasure he has brought to thousands worldwide with his melodious voice.
