Has it been 20 years since Bose pioneered the first aviation noise cancelling headset at Oshkosh? Yes, it has — and at this year's EAA AirVenture, they've introduced the latest and greatest, the new A20, a follow-on product to the popular Headset X. Here's AVweb's quick look at the new headset.

  • get the Nokia BH905i instead!

  • this cost more than the laptop im using!

  • Tested them in B767, Cessna 182 and open cockpit Ultralight Quicksilver. To me the TSO'ed Bose QC15 W/ UFLYMIKE worked just as good. As for open high wind cockpit, they were usless. The Lynx was far better both in noise and the mike. Still overall, I will keep mine since they are a very nice over-all package.

  • @lilmoneymike94 This is a $1000 headset. that would be a total waste of money lol

  • I have a Bose X, and I love it! I did try a Lightspeed Zulu from a co-worker, and I found that the Zulu had better ANR from the FRC, but they had a much tighter clamping force than my Bose, and the Zulu mic was not nearly as sensitive as my Bose. It sounds like the A20 takes both of those into account. I would like to test fly a pair to see, but I do not think I will be disapointed!!!

  • I don't understand what the hype is with the Lightspeed Zulu. I tried one during a 3 day pairing on a Beech 1900 I had with a coworker. At the end of the pairing, I was aching to have my Bose X back. Meanwhile, my co-worker was reluctant to give it back. He had been a big advocate of the Zulu's and I was ready to make the switch based on a few other owners reviews on them, but after trying it myself, I have no desire. My Bose X is so much more comfortable and I'm still extremely happy with it.

  • Can I use this with my ps3 because it has bluetooth

  • a total copy of lightspeed zulu

  • Since I can't get my license for a couple years, it gives me more than enough time to save up money for a few sets for my family and I.

  • I JUST bought a lightspeed zulu yesterday!! arg
