Capital One/Junior Achievement Finance Park

Capital One and JA Worldwide™ have created a unique mobile program to teach middle schoolers personal financial management through an interactive mobile classroom.

A survey by the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy polled 5,775 high school seniors on the basics of financial literacy. The average score was 52.4 percent, up marginally from the previous year, but revealing that too many young people are still not prepared to manage their finances when they graduate high school.

So, Capital One and JA Worldwide™ transformed two 53-foot semi-trucks into a miniature city that provides a hands-on environment for learning. "Capital One/Junior Achievement Finance Park" helps middle schoolers gain a realistic understanding of financial issues through the Financial Park's interactive curriculum.
