Yes, we hate healthcare. That's our goal, it's to kill as many people as possible.

An interesting question presents itself. Many progressives support abortion on demand which Pope John Paul II described as belonging to the culture of death. Is that not part of the culture of dehumanization?

The Bush/Neo-Con crowd are right wing Leninists and are very far from Burkean conservatism. But there policies are not a great departure from Wilson, Roosevelt, Truman, LBJ, or Clinton with regards to war. Although admittedly the war of aggression in Iraq took things to a new level.

Michael is right. To live Life in celebration of Life is a perfect statement of what it means to be a progressive.
The opposite of life is not death (birth and death are the bookends of life.. they are essentially a part of life). The opposite of life (as a value) is the denial of life's inherent value - the demand for more.
The meek who shall inherit the earth are those who accept life for what it is, love it for what it is, and make no demand that it be more than what it is.
