In fact, it's called "depressive suicidal" but it's not really. It awakes our inner sensibility and (hidden) sadness, that's why we don't need to be depressive to enjoye it, as we don't need to be hateful to enjoy brutal death metal for example... No need to find our pain, I think we all have some within, and only art can reveal it.

of course it's just an opinion; and sorry for any grammar mistakes

i think that ive spendt to much time, exploring the darker sides of my mind through depresive black metal. im not really depressed, and i have no reason to be, but for some reason my mind just longs for the isolated feelings of the genre. its like being addicted to something you know is not good for you.

@Angloth I know what your saying. I know that this music can depress me, but I still listen to it and I love it and I embrace the sadness of reality. This is in my opinion a very unique sub-genre of music, it brings us to the depths of our minds, no other music can replicate this feeling with this much effectiveness. I'm an existential nihilist and an introvert, this is partly why I also love this music, as it is by people who share the same ideas and feel the same way as me.

i am not depressive but i love the music and the feeling

you dont get this in normal black metal and other kind of metal.

this is in my oppinion the best form of black metal :)
