  • i am like u stan. every body makes fun of me for collecting vacuums.

  • dont worry stan, when I had my hobbie. everyone thought i was nuts to! lol

  • Wow, I just stumbled upon this, doing a search on restored vacuums. Loved the video but sad to hear that we just lost this character. Never heard of him until now.

I also like old vacuums and theater organs... Actually, there are several folks on here on YouTube who collect antique fans, vacuum cleaners and are pipe organ enthusiasts as well. If you view enough videos related to the above, you'll start seeing this pattern. It's really weird! Must be some quirk of how our brains are wired.

  • Many wonderful memories of days gone by.

    Rest in Peace.

  • Yes, you were a wonderful and kind man. You will be missed. My sympathy goes out to his family and friends.

  • Yes, Read this on the PipOrg-L list that we lost Stan today. God bless him and keep him.

  • 9-29-08 R.I.P. Stan. You were a funny, very musical man!

  • Looked up Stan on Youtube because I remember all the funny acts he did on the Carson show. He played it so well and so straight. I especially liked the way he jittered - like he was soooo nervous! Just had me in stitches! What a class act!

  • Mr. Kann, you leave me in stitches, and you are a great theatre organist. I saw you in person some years ago. Funniest night I ever spent in a theatre, and I learned to love the theme song from "One Man's Family" thanks to you. Are you still getting your eyeglasses tangled in the microphone?

  • Stan is a brilliant musician, of course, and as her sidekick on the Charlotte Peters Show was a paragon of patience. She was charm itself on the air but in rehearsals could be a terror. As a kid I hung out at KSD-TV (in those days a 12-year-old could do that no questions asked) and would watch them in rehearsal, when she sometime was as warm as a slab of ice, and wonder how Stan remained so relaxed. Charlotte, of course, was an immense talent and charismatic lady. Stan was her adoring saint.
