I think maybe you give someone respect and then hope they reciprocate and earn your trust as well. It's really tough when you put your heart out there and get dissed in return - especially when you're a young and 'expressive, honest, passionate person.' But you have to keep trying and also learning with each new experience about what kind of person you want to be with and what you can do to make the relationship work.

I just wanted for you to know that I feel exactly the same as you. I don't always show the respect and courtesy, as you describe, because I've gotten so disheartened with seeing how so many others carry themselves in such disrespectful ways. A lot of the time, I ask myself what's the point of showing courtesy to others if I get none in return? And then I see videos like yours and it gives me hope that there are others out there who do care. So, thank you for helping to re-energize me.
