  • GM Browne is cool :) I was at a tournament as a lowly C player in the '90's in Concord CA and he stopped by my game and watched lol. He had a coffee table lamp at his board. I guess the lighting wasn't up to (his) snuff :).

    correct, 15 ... Rh1+ mating is the threat after 14 ... Qd7.

    Only a handful of moves prevent this threat,

    the chief one being Browne's 15 e6!
