I agree with you here. The only reason they don't is that the Game Boy Advance didn't have enough memory to support nonstatic attack animations and Intelligent Systems was too lazy to program them in three dimensions. On the plus side, I've heard many a rumor with some confirmation from someone in the company itself that they plan to remake both Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 and Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu for the DS. So keep your hopes up.

I love the battles in this game. They're so dynamic. I wish newer fire emblems had battles like these.
