Wow, this was a great video interview of Dick Biondi. Yep, I remember getting a picture of him in the 60's and also the words to 'On Top Of A Pizza'...all covered with cheese, I lost my first meatball when somebody sneezed'...I was a teenager with a transistor radio listening to WLS late at night in a small town in WV. He is a radio icon for sure! Also loved the posters and mention of the price of a ticket in those days. The Beatles Shea Stadium concert was $5.65!

Thank you SO much McCrackin1000 for posting this interview! Many of us grew up to the "magic" of Dick Biondi. Thank you always Dick Biondi for making music lovers like myself extremely happy over the years! Diane :o)

Thanks soooo much for posting this video!! Wow!! I was wondering how different radio stations now might be since the last time I visited one (which was in 1990)...so this satisfied my curiosity; thanks! Dick looks good, too. Incredible!

Hi: Only 49 years? Long may he run! One of my first concerts: in Chicago 1967-68, MC Biondi, Aorta and Rotary Connection [w./Minnie Ripperton, RIP] ... The pillow-transistor radio thing was done by thousands of us across the USA back then...Biondi is a major influence as what I'd like to aspire to on my own freeform web station...Enjoy! Java Jive Jay
I still have a stack of WLS Silver Dollar Surveys dating back to 1964 with a young Biondi's face on quite a few of them! And who remembers "On top of a pizza....."?! Great video of a great legend!!!

hey mccrackin
great video. i remember listening to dick biondi on a transistor radio under my pillow against my mother's wishes. those concert posters remind me of my first concert that i got to see. it was at the amphitheatre and i was 16. the main act was herman's hermits. the first act was the blues magoos. the second act was the who. what a show. thanks for the great videos.
