do you have to know regular guitar to learn slide guitar?

@Jzend001 They're different techniques. I'm playing in a different tuning from "standard" tuning. "Open" tunings like this make a chord if you just strum across all the strings, or if you "barre" across them at any point with a slide, or by holding a finger down across a fret space. To me that's easier to learn than "regular" playing in standard tuning. Slide has a fluid, voice-like quality that I really love. There are lots of lessons here on YouTube to get you started.
