  • I was able to keep mine in a 20g with no issues, although I'm sure most would discourage that. A 75 would have more than enough real estate. You will need to make sure there are areas of low flow and create hiding spots to ensure a low stress environment. You can train them to take frozen without much effort. I'ts pretty much all I fed them. Shrimp and crabs.

  • Hello, I have been doing some research on these guys preparing to own one! I currently have a 75 gal semi- reef tank with a handful of fish that is fully cycled. Would that be fine for one or possibly two of these guys? I know I would need to sell the fish or they become food :D Also do they eat frozen..or at least learn to? Thank you!

  • Unfortunately they will not be able to survive on brine shrimp. No matter how much you are tempted to try it they will not even come close to meeting their nutritional needs. They are what I consider to be an empty nutrition source...even lower than junk food. About the only thing that I know of that will meet their nutritional needs are mysis shrimp, tigger pods and extremely small isopods.

  • Can cuttlefish and blenny's live together? Can cuttlefish live with anything else?

  • @iguanabrad The scooter blenny survived for months with them but eventually became prey. I really cant suggest anything that will survive with them that doesnt have some hardcore defenses. Basically, If they can tackle it, they will eat it. Hermit crabs do well as well as astrea snails.
