This is political spectacle, not politics. Democracy has always been a useful tool in the creation of false dialectics by the controlling minority. It's easier to control people who believe that they have freedom of choice. We live in a corporatocracy that is collectivistic, plutocratic, and fascistic. The system generally moves towards tyrannically enforced collectivism for the vast majority and crony capitalism for the power brokers. It's not a free market.

@camabron1 Actually, it is a mixture of things. In our country, we have a mixture of capitalism and socialism, with a disproportionate amount of capitalism, which enables a plutocracy.

I think Grayson's chances in the upcoming election depends on how strong the Occupy movement is in Florida. His positions are in line with the Occupy folks, but if they don't go to the polls in strength, he will not stand a chance. I hope he wins, we need more people like him in Congress.

@Jarmo187 If you want to shut down Fox people should tell their cable companies to not ut it on the lineup they give them. If you get it off your lineu or block the channel then it will die out.
