This is "Gravity" by Sara Bareilles. I'm thinking about using this (although a video instead of the garage band version shown here) as a video audition for Spring Awakening. Comments and/or *constructive* criticism. Is this even a good song to use? I'm not very good with Garage Band, so please don't let that factor in. The pic is what I guess I'll use as a headshot (took it on timer). Got the brilliant background from sebastiano555!

  • I would recommend using less notes per bar. This is supposed to be a very simple and gorgeous song.. You're making it a little too airy with note flair.

You turned, "Keeping me down" to "Keeping me doowyeah." Yeahs/Oohs/Aahs are unattractive in a simple song, no matter how pretty they are meant to sound.

  • Your voice sounds very nice, but you sound consistently off from the background music, but both early and late. So make sure you keep in line with the tempo.

  • This sounds more like a Glinda from Wicked

  • yea i must agree the tempo is not exactly on par

  • Yeah. Playasport is drunk or something. You're phrasing is really nice and doesn't seem off at all. Just cause you're not singing right on the beat doesn't mean you're off. I love it and I love your voice! I only wish I could have sung with you in the Amateurs. But I was years too late.

  • I love this song. I wish I could sing it like you. I'm green with envy! Good Luck.

  • You are SO not off. You are phrasing it beautifully. I think this is a great audition piece for ya. Goooooood luck!!!!!!!
