  • @spookster

I think dfx961 is agreeing with you... I think... lol... regardless I DO agree. The state of the English language is in severe decline in no small part to Blackberrys and such devices and the short forms that are creeping into everyday use. It has it's place for sure... but come on... try to look/sound educated every now and then. Especially if you are going public and being a retard to begin with.

    @dmsday03

Um.... and how long have you been working in the helicopter business?

  • Cool video man. I can't wait to log some time in a 212 or 214. Looks like we have some back seat pilots making smart ass remarks. Hahah.

  • What can you do... public forum...

you be carefull on those 214's I had a very good friend of mine killed in an accident in one as the result of not knowing enough about the characteristics of the machine.... (One failed boost pump is a no go land immediatly holy crap item...)

good luck... stay safe.... keep the spinny side towards the blue stuff.

  • Oh man, I was a Royal Navy Aircraft Engineer on Seakings, ground runs and leak checks were daily for us, our Seakings used to go tits up on startup all the time...

Plus frequent mag plug checks, oil samples ect, due to age...

As for the Tail Rotor, We'd be up on ladders right by when engaged!! Before Health and Safety hehe.

Anyone never involved with Helicopter ops, please shhhhhh

  • Ha ha.... the SeaThing... nice... My first exposure to helicopters was in the Canadian navy riding around in one...

Health and Safety.... who's that??? lol.... we had H&S come by while strobbing the rotor brake on a SK58T... lying on the transmission platform at 100% NR... doh... they had a fit...

  • Lol

Pay no attention to the haterz firestormft5313. Comments like these usually come from people with rocks for brains, that's the charm of open forum on the internet hahaha.

Interesting film I though. The sounds bad but it's what's to be expected standing under the rotor blades of a large helicopter recording with a cell phone.

    Cool video.

  • Thanks for the support man... wasn't too stressed over the idiots... just having a little fun without being too mean to them... (It is so easy...) Check out some of the other videos I have posted... Driller Rescue has way better sound... and commentary...

  • Modern spelling??? yeah for stupid fuckwits who can't spell.....like YOU. Now get the fuck out of my sight.

  • yes also a guy who clearly has no conception of modern spelling that kids use to make typing easier and shorter. dumbass

  • Top advice coming from a guy who can't spell ''what''.

  • wat the fuck is the camera guy doin wat a dumbass u dont walk around the tail boom while the rotor is spinning or touch the back of it!!!!!!!

  • thanks for the video. I am doing a animation of a 3d copter, and this video allowed me to see what i wanted. :) the direction in wich the propelers rotate.

  • Im finally glad to see someone has a down to the line huey. How much did it cost you?

  • Opening various doors & hatches is perfectly acceptable & poses no danger at all, it's an added measure of safety.

HOWEVER, having worked in helis in BC for 20 years, I've NEVER seen anyone touch the stinger or duck under the tail boom of a running machine. No matter how many years you've been doing it, nor how conscious of the rotor you think you are, it's an incredibly stupid, unprofessional move. There's no reason to walk aft of the tail boom compartment.

Ah, FHW: an old Frontier machine.

  • cool, a huey

  • Indeed.

Sorry to hear about your friend and thanks for the advice - I'll talk with the FBO about that for sure.

Likewise and have a great Christmas and New year!

    Eric
