This is a tribute to The Marvelettes, its the first time ive tried anything like this, hope people like it, Finders Keepers Losers Weapers is a HDH song that should have been a single, its Gladys and Georgeanna singing lead together on this one.

  • Yeah she is, the only Marvelette who is no longer alive in Georgeanna who did Jan. 6 1980

  • i doubt any of them are original Marvelettes or even old enough to be O.G Marvelettes

  • Very simple song but I never get tired of it.

I wonder why it remained unreleased so long.

  • The Marvelettes and HDH, this song would have been a top 10 hit.

  • love this song

  • @loosestudios

Interestingly Norman Whitefield won on both groups. The flip side of Where Did Our Love Go was a Norman Whitfield written and produced song called "He Means The World To Me"

  • I love the bed spread MotownMaster! *smile*

Great load of pictures there on one of my favourite tracks.

  • Fantastic compilation of great photos and memories - and a great song "Finders Keepers."

    Thanks

  • Long Live The Marvelettes

  • this brings back good memories of a good times!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • By 1964, The Marvelettes faced major competition, not only from Motown upstarts like The Supremes and Martha and the Vandellas, They refused to record a song titled "Where Did Our Love Go", written by the Holland-Dozier-Holland songwriting team. Instead, The Marvelettes chose to record "Too Many Fish In The Sea" which resulted in a minor hit. Meanwhile, Holland-Dozier-Holland took "Where Did Our Love Go?" to The Supremes, who made the song a #1 pop and R&B hit..and the rest is history

  • Thank You MotownMaster from the bottom of my heart...I simply LOVE THE MARVELETTES...Yet so underrated but very VERY talented. Thanks for the tribute. You made my night!!!!
