Okay, I'm not entirely convinced you're reading my comments before responding. I'm not defending Islam -- I simply stated a fact about Muslims, which is that they believe in the virgin birth of Jesus. I didn't say they regarded Him as the Son of God. Of course they don't. But they do revere Him as a prophet. I'm not saying they're correct about Him. I'm only stating what their belief is concerning Jesus. I don't share that belief. Jesus is "the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Matt. 16:16).

Muslims consider Christians infidels. They have constructed a Temple in Jerusalem that has a statement declaring clearly God has no son...This is not a high valuation of Christianity, it is an insult to Jesus and those who believe in Him.

Firstly, I'm not even remotely a fan of Obama. I didn't vote for him, and I am opposed to his entire agenda, domestic and foreign. But he is the president, whose policies will affect U.S. soldiers. That makes what he says more important than a cartoon. Secondly, nowhere in my comment did I "defend Muslims." I stated a fact about the Islamic religion, which is that Muslims believe firmly in the virgin birth of Jesus. Its a fact. Get over it.

the day of christmas may be derived from some holiday, but the celebration of the birth of the Saviour is something entirely different. Much like many gospel hymn's come from tavern songs but the words are different so the song is not the same. Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Christ.

christmas is derived from saturnalia, a holida y celebrated by the romans years ago.
