Old Leftist talking points. Government spending is the ultimate in vain hope of money trickling down. We give billions of hard earned money to the government and get pennies back on the dollar. If what you say is true why did Warner promise to never raise taxes? Warner said the charges were Republican "smears." They were the truth. He only raised taxes on the rich? Ha! More lies, but we only wish it were true. But teaching envy and coveting your neighbor isn't an ideology we can accept.

The last Democratic Governor who didn't lie about raising our taxes was Governor Wilder. Warner and Kaine are just raid-our-pockets liberals. At least Gilmore kept his word.

He balanced the budget and gave us a surplus while Gilmore just raised the debt just like Bush has. Take a class on economics and you might understand a little bit.

Hey Michigan, we don't want the Libs doing to Virginia what you did to Michigan. You take that class: if families can't balance their budgets because politicians lied about not raising taxes then they're the ones who need the economics, and ethics, lessons. Look at the mess you are in with Michigan from government spending and taxes. Trust citizens to spend their money wisely...not politicians. Private debt sky rocketed during Warner's years as he transfered family assets to government. He lied.

First, Ive lived in Virginia my whole life and second I'm not a liberal. While Warner was in office Virginia built new roads and schools and invested in itself. You have to balance your budget bc if you don't it creates higher interest rates. He only raised taxes on the rich, "the people who can afford it" while the middle class needed help bc of the failed leadership of Gilmore. You have seen the failure of trickle down economics fail under Reagan and both Bush's and under Gilmore.

lying about what? he didn't make any concrete promises.... all he said was that we was going to do the same stuff he did as governor, and work as a bi-partisan senator

I'm an Australian this guy is better than any of our our elected officials. I believe that he really wants to see you American people get a fair go. In Australia, government fiscal policy has been in surplus for ten years. Trust me you need your government to be in surplus or you the American people will be paying of, your public sector debt for a long time. This guy is progressive and proactive and has brought jobs to Virginia. He still has compassion. If I were you I would vote for him.
