@RCsparkles Aww I know how it feels to lose a parakeet :( ALL OF MY PARAKEETS FLEW AWAY! Then one came back and I bought a new baby budgie that is tame and its adorable and these budgies are ADORABLE! I'm jealous of their cage! I love how its aperfect size and its so tall! Mine is longer than taller and they only have like 3 or 4 perches the same size and they have like 2 toys only now and stuff :( lol

I had a budgie that had a white cere but it's cere suddenly turned brown the next day!
That cage is awesome! How much was it?

Too much. If I knew then what I knew now then I could have got a larger cage for the same amount.

so he's slowly dying? Can't you get it surgically removed?

Unfortunately, we can't have it removed. It would be too delicate a process for our dear Pigwidgeon and he probably wouldn't make it through the procedure. The best we can do is to make him comfortable. It breaks my heart.

I love how their cage is so brightly decorated with oodles of toys! Breaks my heart seeing a bird in a barren cage. How is Pigwidgeon today? What is his prognosis? Its such a shame, but budgies do seem to be prone to tumours. I wonder if its captivity and poor diet that is a large factor in that? Your lovelies have a good mixed diet, they are fortunate. I wish it was the same for all captive birds!

Pigwidgeon is terminal and the tumor has gotten quite big. He seems to have about half/half good/bad days nowadays. Some of the main factors that contribute to tumors are diet and inbreeding. Many bird farms do not pay attention to the birds inbreeding. That is probably what caused Pigwidgeon's tumor. He was on a bad diet when we got him, which means we had to help him overcome fatty-liver disease (which he has).
