Still not getting the results you're looking for? Well, as hard as you work out in the gym, if your diet isn't up to snuff, then that might be what's holding you back.

It's simple; consume fewer calories than what you burn in a day. And there are many ways to eat less, but you want the easiest, simplest, and most effective way to do it, right?

Well, I want to make sure that you not only do this, but that you still enjoy the foods you are eating. So here is how you can eat less and enjoy more:

1)Let's face it, we all love rich pasta or maybe it's a Thai noodle dinner. Unfortunately, the high fat content in these meals is the last thing our waist lines need, especially if we're trying to lose weight. So, my advice is to take these special foods you enjoy and turn them into an event. What I mean by this is to prepare a meal like this only when you're expecting company. This way you'll still be able to satisfy your desire for these delicious foods, but you'll also control how much you eat or how often you eat it.

2)Sometimes we overeat and don't even realize it. Worse, sometimes we knowingly overeat but we just can't seem to change the pattern. Therefore, what you need to do is identify your eating cues. Awareness is the first step to action. So, you need to determine what it is that is causing you to overeat and then work on finding something else to replace satisfy that trigger.

3)There are two sides of the eating spectrum; ignorance and obsession. On one side, there is the person who compulsively measures every calorie their body consumes, while on the other side is the person who has a complete lack of regard for the foods they take in. In both cases, eating responsibly is never taken into consideration. So, the key is to find a balance between the two and this can be achieved by adding a lot of variety into your diet, in terms of the foods you eat as well as the food combinations. This will prevent boredom with your meals, while still allowing you to enjoy the foods you eat.

Furthermore, if your goal is to eat less, than try reducing the amount of calories in each meal, or reduce the number of meals you consume in a day, or even reduce the frequency with which you eat (fasting).

I know what you're thinking, "but if I fast, won't I get cravings or hunger pains?" Well, here's what you can do:

1)Drink water or tea.
a.Tea is surprisingly great at staving off those hunger pains. But, keep in mind, our hunger pains are often tied to our expectations. We think we should be eating and so mentally we think we are hungry.

2)For cravings, mentally note where you were and what you were doing when you experience these cravings. You may begin to notice a pattern and from there you can try to work around it.

3)The best advice for someone who is fasting, however, is to stay busy. There's no time to think about eating, let alone eat if you're constantly on the go!
