This event took place on 5/26/09 in the Westwood Village neighborhood of Los Angeles in response to the California Supreme Court ruling in favor of Prop 8. The UCLA protestors marched to the intersection at Wilshire and Veteran where they had a sit-down. Eventually, they moved over to the bus stop in front of the Federal Building. After having a rally, they marched east on Wilshire to the intersection with Westwood Boulevard where they had another sit-down. The LAPD were awesome. They kept everyone safe and the cars moving. They were patient and helpful. The protestors complied as best they could. There was no violence or threat of violence. There were banners and signs. Everyone behaved. The worst thing that happened was a couple of drivers honked their horns. It was a sight to see. We have a photo essay of this event on our blog at LAKompany.com

  • ya, and its good to know that they all want peace in the world. they dont want to live like their parents and grandparents have been. They are sick of all this crap going on. It just goes to show that equality will come. Its just a matter of when.
