Every Human Has Rights campaign

"Any society is judged by how they treat their children - more commitment is needed to achieve the Millennium Development Goals" - Graça Machel talking about the link between human rights and the MDGs for the Every Human Has Rights campaign (http://www.everyhumanhasrights.org).

Biog: Graça Machel is a renowned international advocate for women's and children's rights, and has been a social and political activist for decades. She is President of the Foundation for Community Development (FDC - http://www.fdc.org.mz/), a not-for-profit Mozambican organisation she founded in 1994. In 1994, the Secretary General of the United Nations appointed Graça Machel as an independent expert to carry out an assessment of the impact of armed conflict on children.
