well....she wears the veil because she can...a woman so outspoken like wouldn't wear it because she has too...just as the women can go around wearing skimpy 2-piece bikinis...pple consider that as "being liberal" then what is wrong with her wearing a veil..she's being "expressive" of who she is

i did a little thinking on the Fundamentalist Muslim problem, and i came up with a RADICAL way of thinking, now as i under stand it Fundamentalists want women locked up and under thier thumb and out of the public eye, while the men are on the tight, hot, over crowed with sweaty men bumping in to sweaty men streets and shops and cars where no women are allowed to be. this sounds alot GAY to me.

Just look at Islamic countries like Pakistan and see how can Islam influence its followers. Muslims are free to kill any one. Muslims kill Muslims in mosques, funerals, markets.

Muslim women should wear burqa in Muslim countries to protect themselves from Muslim men. In some countries burqa is not enought to save themselves from their Muslim brothers, they need a man relative to go with them.

In US most Muslim women don't wear any burqa and feel safe.

Little Mosque does for Muslims what the Jeffersons did for the African American community. The media and humor are two of the ways we can peacefully overcome some of the issues in both the Muslim community and between Muslims and non-Muslims. Imagine! We can just make bowls of popcorn and be couch potatoes...Muslims and non-Muslims eating popcorn and watching a sitcom about Muslims...what an awesome way to make peace!
