I've been working on my playing a lot lately, I've started to do a lot more listening to myself and other guitarists instead of just playing the same old riffs from my favorite songs in my bedroom which is a real easy thing to do. When you spend all your time doing that its a good way to become a better guitar player but i feel there comes a time where you have to switch it up to get on the path to becoming a guitarIST. Theres a big difference between a guitar player and a guitarist. I had the feeling that my learning kinda reached a plateau so I put away a lot of my pedals and am just using a strat through a boss compression/sustain, way huge analog delay, and the loop station into the clean channel of my fender hot rod deluxe to try and work on my tone and I think my technique and creativity are starting to improve again. The first part of the loop is based off of a short riff that john mayer plays in the breakdown of neon and added a few other things to it and soloed over it. Thanks for watching!
