  • Don't know why u guys at dirt trax have always hated the diff lock on kawi's but everybody that i know likes it. I ride with all makes and this is the best system, only takes 1 finger to operate and u can pull it in as soon as u think u r going to need it. Lever diff lock is one of the best things about Kawasaki.

  • Check out my vids on the Kawasaki KVF 360 4x4 with the variable-lock differential control...

I find a variable locker works better than a full locked switch.A variable control lever is used only as much as needed, and is controlled by the rider. It is better all-round;especially when engaging at higher speeds.

  • @andys70GMC EXACTLY!!! Can-am is cool and all but I love the front diff lever. Im not sure why everyone hates on it. I think its a very well thought out design. My biggest and pretty much only issue with the brute is the suspension. Needs more travel and when you step on the quad to sit on it it feels very tipsy. But other than that I love the new brutes

  • @AUscw2011 The problem with visco is it will lock up the front end even when its not completely necessary, causing really expensive parts to break. With this its up to YOU to lock it so you'll only use it, when you use it (if that makes any sense to you). Hope this helps.

  • I like the older BF design but this new one looks like a 1970's era garbage truck or something. Gotta be the ugliest atv on the market right now.

  • The lever is great. When climbing a hill and everything starts spinning, you don't have to stop and loose your momentum. The same if you pull a heavy load and the lock is needed. Pull the lever and continue but at slow speed. I ride with Tatou 4S tracks winter and summer and in deep snow the lever is great when I need to lock the diff and believe me I need it often. This test is not a sport Quad made only to go fast, slide and jump. Would you test a F150 4X4 on a race track?

  • I'll take a 'terrible' front diff lock lever over a split in half can am frame any day

  • @AUscw2011 No, the Brutes differential is a good one, some do not like the locking lever, as you have to hold it to get the front wheels to lock together.

  • is this the one jake media did?

  • @AUscw2011 Yamaha has the best 4x4 system IMO, I got a Grizzly 700 about a month ago and never looked back. Perfect all around machine and going frm a 350 to a 700 was a big upgrade in power even if the Grizzly isnt the most powerful. It sill is the best all around big bore. IMO
