  • I'm happy I got to ride on before they retired.

  • Does this bus have the A/C turned on???

  • yes

  • No, Wmata's 9801-9819 are Powered by Cummins M-11's

  • It sounded like an L10 at first.

  • Have there been any Flxible Metros whose Cummins diesels have had their turbo whistle even at idle?

  • That I don't know.

  • Can you say that the Flxible Metro sounds like a "ghost in the machine?"

  • I cant believe I never got to ride one of these!

  • @jamin108

Not really buzzing, but rather a growling sound.

  • I'd like you to compare the sound of this bus with the TriMet 1994 Flxible Metro D #1839 filmed by chnchila88.

  • Also check out a 2003 Gillig Phantom with a Cummins ISM. Type "Metro Transit 1000" into the search query.

  • Check out a TriMet Flxible Metro "C" 1700 series vid submitted by punkrawker4783.

  • yo why dos the engine sound diffrent when the ac is turned on like hear when our gillig phamtoms have th ac on it sounds like a buzzing or some kind of creature

  • 4002 is a little TOO loud... most likely "needs service" lol!

  • I love the way those Cummins Powered Flxibles sounded, especially the air sounds!
