Thank you. Yes, I'm going to be 8 in June and I have been playing since March 2007. But I think it doesn't matter when you start, only the effort counts. For example my hands are not very strong yet so I cannot play difficult pieces and I must not practice too long, but if you start playing later with strong hands you might practice as much as you want and improve very quickly.

Hey, great insight about the hand strength and age. I'm 64 and am just starting lessons. It's nice to know that there is at least some advantage in starting late!
