This is a demo for the Boss LS-2 Line Selector. The overall purpose is to hear the range of what the pedal can do and to show how the controls work, so what is being played is secondary to both. That being said, hopefully what you hear will give you an idea of what can be done using this effect. If you do like what you hear, feel free to check out http://www.magnushitch.com. The pedal was used on all records via an effects loop with a couple of the songs having multiple pedals engaged via the LS-2.

  • 1 question..im a beginner on using a/b switches but im thinking about buying a whirlwind A/B box because of having 8 pedals in my signal chain...if i was to use signal A, would that cause all pedals in signal B to "turn off"?meaning if i were to use signal B i would have to turn on the pedals i need to use in that chain again?

  • With the LS-2, you can either use loop A, loop B, or A & B together. The only drawback is that you only have a certain number of choices on how to switch loops. Meaning, you can set the pedal to engage loop A, then loop A & B together, or loop A and then loop B, or one loop at a time, but they will engage in that sequence only, not interchangably.

  • great video... Do you know any other line selectors possibly with more options rather than just effects loop on and off... Coz i wanna have more than one loop going. thanks

  • With the LS-2, you have the option for two effects loops, but you can only switch from one to the other, or have both engaged or just one. There are many other pedals that allow for mult loops that you can engage simult or one at a time. Lehle makes great ones, but they are expensive. The Boss NS-2 has an effects loop and it is a noise suppressor too, so that is a two for one pedal. Check ebay and you will find a bunch.

  • Could you use the AB-2 two way selector from boss to switch between effects loop aswell???? btw great video

  • Thanks. Not a 100% sure about that, but I don't think you can. The AB-2 works as a channel switch primarily, hence only the inputs/outputs. The LS-2 offers 2 loops actually with the ability to switch to just one effects loop or the other, switch to one and then the other, or to use the loops together, so there are options for switching btw mulitple loops. I believe you would then need a separate input/output for each effects loop in order to control them via the AB-2.

  • I like your pedals. o.o

  • Can u place pedals to work for both A and B ?? like in in the "middle" like if I wanted to have a delay pedal or a phaser to work for both A & B

  • Let's say I run a Distortion pedal into the LS-2. We're only using Loop A, which has Chorus and Flanger, and Bypass. When in Loop A, is the Distortion heard along with the other 2 pedals or ONLY the Chorus and Flanger?

  • Will it work on two channels amp?

  • quick question; i wanna buy one of these but can it handle TWO loops and also a dry sound (ie THREE seperate sounds) or is it just one loop and a dry sound

  • If the LS-2 runs out of batteries does the signal then go to both the effects loop and the amp or does it stay in one or the other signal path?

  • hey guy, very nice video, cool, i have a question, so, i have a ns-2 but i want to use mi overdrive an my metal muff whit the ns-2, all this and delay in the loop A, and chorus and delay in loop B, the problem is, how can i conect the ns2 to the LS-2 in one loop,

so, i hope you undertandme, ,, see you and so much thanks guy,

  • @soapboxracer182 ya yo can, there is multiple settings on it

  • i don't see much advantage in this pedal over a simple (and cheaper) a/b pedal. an a/b/y pedal is my favorite for selecting between 2 amps and/or running both at the same time.
