As I said, you should have considered a C spine injury in every patient with an injury above clavicles, and that includes the head. The correct way of handling would be to provide bimanual C spine stabilization and then, if available, proceed with applying a device such as extrication collar. Sure enough, in real life you would often be able to exclude minor head lacerations unlikely to break or dislocate the C spine--but if you are making an educational video, you should play safe.

It seems that you have not considered a cervical spine injury which is a serious omission in any patient with a head injury. What was the point of your video? To put a gauze over the wound? That is not what i would call informative, in all fairness.

@Happyascanbe1 This is how specialists would suggest to handle that issue unitl there is real help from landside comming up. I would be happy if you could tell more about how you would do it?

ich bin jetzt kein sanitäter^^ aber ich denke das ich mich da doch sehr gut auskenne da ich relativ viel eigenerfahrung mit verletzungen u.ä. habe... -.-

ich würde des nicht waagerecht ---- um den hals machen sondern so ähnlich wie bei einem fächer vom kinn aus schräg nahc oben hinten so dass es wie gesagt auch stützt und man einem so nicht si luft abschnürt \l/ den rest würdeich genauso machen

wie würdest du es machen ?

Ja, eig. hast du auch recht, ich wuerde es auch ein bissien anderst machen. Also ich bin ja auch ein Ausgebildener Sanitäter und habe damit schon erfahrung.

ich hab noch nie gesehen oder gehört das man den un´mm den hals macht!! eine falsche bewegung oder etwas zufest und man kann im schlimmsten falle ersticken oder atemnot bekommen!!!!
