@selenaeatsjohn As if it were and insult and we are not proud of our Native American heritage. They also try to put down Spanish like it is a crappy language even though it is a European language based off Latin and is one of the prettiest languages in the world. Also French, Portuguese and Italian are all based off Latin and are part of Romance language.

@selenaeatsjohn Mexicans are basically native American & some more than others. It all depends. Either way the Spanish were here to convert Natives to Christianity not annihilate them or kill them off. Many Spanish married Native Americans and integrated them into the community by teaching them the language. Of course it wasn't perfect and their were some abuses but people were treated a million times better than when Anglo settlers came. I mean basically Anglo settlers call Mexicans indians
