  • Nina Simone was f%^&%^ over more than any other performing artist, period. She got screwed out of dozens of recording deals, and, as she says, some of her controversial songs resulted in her being boycotted.

What a brave and graceful woman, she gives met the chills, warms my heart and reminds me of the tremendous inner strength that is harboured within each and every one of us.

  • I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you,I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, I Love you, NINA!!

  • I can be picky despite my appeal because its my life and body. The only woman I'll ever fall for is someone with her strong mindset.

  • Gosh what a woman.

  • i love you Nina

  • She shouldn't change for anyone she said what she felt NINA 4EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • An admirable artist and truly controversial. Her shade of brown is different than mine, but I'm sure we both bleed the same color. I like that I can disagree with her an yet she can make me still admire her. My money did not contribute to her personal convictions but was well spent on them shiny gold eye shadow.

  • @YEELKEED Agreed. Nothing is more valuable than immortalizing yourself through true art.

  • Nina those songs may have hurt your career but they have may you an immortal and that is better than any fame or money. That is what we live for.

  • @asheyblacq ..NINA IS QUEEN LADY SIMONE, SUNG HER STORY OF THE OPPRESSION FROM THE WHITE AGITATORS IN A TIME WHEN SHE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED, WHITEMAN,KEPT HIS FOOT ON HER BACK ,SO SHE COULDN'T RISE TO STAND UP, SELF EXILE SHE HAD TO FLEE FOR HER LIFE, JESUS FLED TOO,SET US FREE, SET US FREE, ARMASTEAUD, SET US FREE, WE'RE BITTER CAUSE OUR PARENTS WERE SLAVES, REPARATIONS MURDERERS, BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS, THERE WILL BE A BACKLASH NINAS' BACKLASH YOU WILL FEEL IT, IT'S COMING WATCH

  • @fcmilsweeper9 ...5 mos. later...we have to understand that people(any of us) tend to speak expressively when they are in a comfortable setting. Ms Simone is known to us simply because she was true to self and expressed what was within her. What she says in an interview is purely rhetorical because her actions is what made her relevant to us all. God Bless you, Nina Simone!

  • @treehuggerdude4 I'm reading your comments 2 yrs. later and disagree. You can't sell out when you don't reap any tangible benefits from your efforts. I believe Ms. Simone is purely reflecting on the sacrificial affects of her art in regards to financial gain that other artists were receiving during the time of this interview.
