Amir Khan loses to Lamont Peterson watch-fight highlights - controversial split decision

Amir Khan's dreams of global superstardom were spectacularly derailed in Washington as local man Lamont Peterson grabbed his WBA and IBF titles from him with a split decision victory.The English champion had Peterson down twice in a brilliant first round but had to come through perilous onslaughts in the third and seventh while also twice being docked a point.

If peterson didn't win that fight i would hav been pissed. Khan was cheating through out the match elbows, pushing, knocking his head down..... peterson had a good fight

@OTKP peterson was going in with his head all night and the ref did not even say break whenever lamont was holding khan.Khan acted stupidly by reacting badly but everyone could see he was frustrated by so obviously being cheated the whole night. The ref was actually yelling encouragements to lamont, he told him he was like a son to him and if you think thats not unfair then I don't have anything further to say to such a naive person. Its not that easy when you know the ref is on the other side

@OTKP close fight? yes it was a close fight but was khan the clear winner? yes he was. If you know anything about boxing you would know that for khans push you get penalized one point, not two, and mayweather does that all the time and does not ever get penalized for it. Peterson should have been told off for going with his head in all match and i don't know how anyone could say that he gave a good fight, I saw nothing from him the whole match. so yeah, it was a blatant and obvious robbery.

LOL Khan and his fans are DESPERATE and scrambling for excuses, Khan is OVERRATED and was EXPOSED just deal with it, that was a CLOSE FIGHT and could have went either way, why are Khan fans act like he was DOMINATING and got Robbed, it was a CLOSE FIGHT!

In a rematch the out-come will be the same in fact I wouldn't be surprise if Peterson beats him soundly, Khan can't handle pressure on body shots and no he is not "after" Pacquiao or Mayweather
