@OtagoMark As you say there are many factors. However solar has a unique fingerprint as does GHGs. The main ones ruling out solar are the heating is mainly at night, and in the winter, the upper atmosphere is cooling - if it were the sun it would be warming and so on. The comment about the Sun getting less active is in response to the idiots who do the sort of correlations you critisize but stop them at 1980 when the correlation completely breaks down (Soon & Baliunis, for example)

Nope, cant be that either as the Sun has been getting less active recently" its a logical mistake to rule solar activity out as there are MANY things affecting climate, many cycles at play here El nino and La nina for instance...there was a period during the industrail revolution when co2 was being produced in huge amounts when temperatures were DROPPING, according to your logic that should have ruled co2 out!!...

Soo.. let me get this right. These days, people argue that CO2 is not the main reason for global warming?

Here is my theory: Since the internet got floded with people, eveybody is a scientist and an expert. At what point did someone actualy tought: Geez, since man started heavy industry and shooting bilions of tones of CO2 in the atmosphere, the climate has changed. Wow.. people are so mad about that.
