Oh no! Potvin was a brilliant goalie. He had a terrible time on the Island for sure, but many great players have gone down in flames when traded to the Isles, only to resurrect their careers somewhere else. I say this respectfully as a longtime Isles fan.

I remember watching this game as a kid. Hextall was known as the goalie fighter in the league. All the media talked about was how not only did Potvin hold his own against Hextall, he won the fight.

I'd have to call this a tie, but give credit to hextall for a) skating the length of the ice, and b) being the 1st to take off the mask. Overall I'd have to call it even-steven.
