  • How do you disable or get out of this feature? Because right now whenever I boot up my MacBook pro, it automatically go into this safe sleep mode. Another thing that is happening is when I boot up my MBP it shows the log in window but after 5 seconds it just goes to safesleep, how do I fix it?

  • I don't like the space it takes up on the harddrive so I disable it. Depending on how much ram you have on the computer that is how much space is being written the harddrive. Nice video though!

  • wouldn't it be funny if he opened it and went "im just gonna wake it up now... oh........ no go away error, i dont like your kind........oh........all my files have been inexplicably deleted..........fucks sake......"

  • Heh. How long has Windows had hibernate? Windows 2000, for sure. I think NT4 had it and even before that, many Win95 and Win98 laptops had a BIOS-based hibernation-like "Suspend to Disk" feature built right in as long as you had the hibernation partition on the HD. Great job, Apple! Keep innovating!

  • ******EASIER WAY WITHOUT PULLING OUT BATTERY********* VID ON MY CHANNEL

  • yeah, it really seems to be that way. It's a shame that doesn't work the same way like with windows. That's one thing that really bothers me about my mac.

  • I was wondering about "sleepimage", thanks to your vid i have a more precise idea now. Merci

  • Wow, very nice instructional video on this very important neat little feature the Macbook has!! :)
