Autism does this to your KID It breaks my heart to see him like this but it happens so many times during the day that I had to leave him do this to record it.

my four year old daughter uses pecs and says only ahh sound. She pinches headbangs and bites her wrists. I have been trying not to react like you did with saying ow. But it does not seem to make a difference. The bigger she gets the more fearful i become for my other childrens future and mine and my wifes mental well being.

I assume you child has a statement? Adam is now 13 1/2 He has calmed down a little since this video But still Bites etc. If you are lacking support from social services and parental training for these kinds of Children then Get in touch with you Member of parliament (Perhaps after the Election)

Adam attends residential School for 38 weeks a year He gets all the therapy he needs at school and still only one word occassional speech. He also uses the PECS system but this is very limited

Took us two years to fight for extra support!!) And before that 5 years of telling them how dangerous it is in a car with them! Just KEEP fighting! Slowly things are changing. Its VERY VERY HARD. And Try and get your families support Just for a Day here and there Explain to them That If they think its hard for a day try 365 days a year!!

Do you think he's hypersensitive? Have you tried removing certain noises and changing the lighting and environment? That can prevent issues like this from happening.

Have you tried behavior therapy teaching him some basic language?
