  • The Flowers of the Forest is believed to date from 1513, the time if the battle of Flodden, in the course of which the archers of the Forest (a part of Scotland) were killed almost to a man’ About 18-20 thousand Scots were killed including King James IV of Scotland, and English about 5,000. The total Scottish invasion force was about 60,000 and the English army about 40,000. Many of my family (from 13 miles to the north), Clan Home gave the ultimate. I'll NEVER forget. Wallace
