If you want just DV not HDv the DVX100 is a good choice, its cheap now.

Pulling the focus, pulling the focus, pulling the focus.

ZED!, Brain! Pulling the focus always looks so fucking nice indeed. However my opinion is that, if you use it so many times it can easily lost its magical power.

I should mention that i adore to pull focus as well in a shot. =)

I know exactly that sort of feeling when you delete a nice shot during editing. But sometimes you should do that.
