I'm glad that there are lots of taiwanese who see right thru this dali lama's publicity stunt. He is obviously using this tragic event to promote himself by looking pious and concerned HA!

u expect a buddhist monk to donate billions of dollars? Why did the Taiwanese invite the Dalai Lama in the first place? Did they expect him to give them dollars? They could have easily done that by inviting Bill Gates or Donald Trump! Why? Ask yourself. By the way a real buddhist is determined on the basis of the purity of heart, and not by what he wears or presents visually to others. Wearing a fabric shoe, but harboring full of anger inside, can of course not be called a buddhist.

i agree with sonam. this is a BLATENT bias of reporting. Even though the majority of the taiwanese welcomed the dalai lama, CCTV chooses to show only the hand ful of people protesting. The world knows the truth and is laughing at the CHILDISH hypocracy of the chinese regime. i met an american neighbor who has been following the development and also seen the CCTV report and was amused at the behavior of the chinese regime. I also say this: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA....

He he he!! Why CCTV not showing the His Holiness Dalai Lama welcomed by come by most of Taiwanese!!
CCTV always does like that!! However World know the reality!!
I was wondering what kind of news channel generalized that Taiwan doesn't welcome Dalai Lama just from a few's opinions.
Then I saw CCTV's logo on the top...

Lets say ur whole family died due to the typhoon. What will naturally occupy ur mind? The immense grief due to ur loss or expectations of aid money? Money can remedy the physical needs but it can never heal the deep emotional scar left behind by tragedy. That's exactly where spirituality comes in. Most of the modern day chinese i have come across have only one mantra: Money can do everything, which is i believe a source of moral degradation that is increasingly becoming prevalant in their soc
