this "march" is an annual event and part of the many eisa festivals throughout Okinawa during the month of August, the time of obon. This particular dance takes place on Kokusai street, downtown Naha and is the biggest and most major event in the chain of eisa festivals. Endless groups of dancers, young and old move down the street performing this traditional okinawan dance. You can hear the drums from miles away.
