Cut Copy's Dan Whitford calls Ableton Live "the brain" for the band's live performances. With a live show that already features a number of instruments and four performers, Cut Copy use Ableton Live to add sampled instruments that play and feel like acoustic ones, such as the Glockenspiel. Additionally, Live acts as a sequencer both for virtual and hardware synthesizers, making it an essential part of Cut Copy's thrilling live show.
@noobcola there was a guy holding a guitar, another dude on an electronic drum kit. they were miming the whole performance aka pretending to play. the fact of the matter is they weren't actually performing. everything was on the computer.

@destituteillusion How are they supposed to play their instruments if their computer crashed? How is it their fault? Shit happens - you would know if you played live often

saw a show they did in san francisco a few years ago, their computer crashed and the music came to a stop. just a bunch of dudes on stage miming on their instruments..pretty pathetic sight.
