@optix004 How do you get in through that door??? tilt? Also...is there any way you can measure the diameter of the base and it'a max height? I'm thinking that if I am able to separate the round base from the rest of the structure...what do you think?

I hate to be a pain but can you please measure the diameter of the lower OTA and the measurements of the base at it's widest and tallest. Like I said I was going to try to assemble the base in such a way to be able to break it down for transport.

@Lordgeek2o2k unfortunately the telescope is not with me at the moment it is in another location. But I would say the measurements are roughly 18 for the bottom tube with mirror, and the rotating base assembly is probably 25 inches across. There is probably a way to modify the base to fit in a car trunk, but you will need to have some way to quickly release and reassemble on the go. Good luck mate, thanks for subscribing. Do you ever transport it? I'm not sure how well it would transport in my Jetta sedan! If I end up getting it I might modify the base so I can take it apart.

@Lordgeek2o2k if the trunk opening is big enough to slip the bottom mirror assembly in there that would be a good start. I doubt you'll be able to fit the base without taking it apart...

@Lordgeek2o2k it's great! It is a little tricky to move around but it's worth it when you get it out the door. I can do it myself but it is much easier with another person. The optics are incredible.
