A De Havilland DH89A Dragon Rapide took off from Maury Rasmussen Field at the Calaveras County Airport shortly after 10 a.m. May 20, headed to its new home in Yolo County. The restoration took 12 years and was the dream of the plane's owner, William B. Field. Field, a collector of vintage aircraft and the owner of Bud Field Aviation in Hawyard, died Feb. 10.
