November 5, 2009 marks the second anniversary of losing our sweet Sahara to brain cancer. It is a tribute to her never-ending joy. You are loved and missed every day...rest in peace my angel. Thanks to Rick Springfield, for this beautiful song.

  • I just heard this song and found this video... I wept and wept because I too lost my daughter about 8 years ago and it brought back so many of the memories good and bad, but mostly good. Wish I had heard it sooner... Thanks for sharing.

  • rickwich99... possibly like many others, I was drawn to this song that Mr. Springfield penned for your daughter, and wanted to learn the backstory to it. And now that I have, all that I can say is that my heart goes out to you and your family. I am sorry for your loss.

  • Thanks for the video! Sahara was a friend of mine. i met here playing basketball for upward and we became pretty close, but our time together was cut a little short. she impacted my life pretty big. At 2:12 is a picture of her and my friend whitney who was also on the basketball team. THanks again for helping me remeber her!

  • i loved this song... then my bff told me wat it waz bout and i started crying... she said that she waz the same age as us... we r 15 now.. waz she really like 13 or 14 wen she passed???

  • i love this song but its so sad

  • I just read the story about Sahara in Rick Springfield's book and it made me ache - with happiness for what she was able to do in her short life and with sadness when envisioning what she could have done had she been allowed to stay longer. Maybe she had to leave sooner to teach us a lesson. Beautiful song Rick.

  • i love this song
