I had just gotten off of this 737-300 N606SW. It boarded the next flight and pushed back, only to have engine problems and was towed back to the gate.

  • You guys need to grow up. Most engines do that if the aircraft hasn't been started for a few days, no fire, no nothing. It's like starting a car that hasn't been started for weeks. The SWA safety cards just say Boeing 737. I can tell the difference, the 700 has painted and different shaped flap conoes.

  • @Boeing757200A congratualtions,im pretty sure thats how everyone tells the difference....except with the -500 series...which has 15 fewer seats, and can be identified by the tail number Ex. N501SW. I had talked to the gate agent and she had said there was a mechanical problem. this wasnt normal....espcially where the smoke had been pouring out for 30 seconds. usually you just see a quick puff....and this aircraft had flown 3 flights before this one.

I dont think anyone needs to grow up here.

  • Yikes! Southwest is smart adding winglets to their -300 fleet =) Convince the non-aviation enthusiasts that maybe they are boarding the -700 series =P Now all thats left to do is transfer the safety cards in the seat pockets ;-) And the fear of flying the -300 dinosaur series fleet will hopefully diminish =D

  • @RyDon85 I still try to give up my seat when a -300 pulls up to the gate ;)
